Innovation Proposal
Blended Learning with the Individual Rotation model
I'm looking forward to piloting a blended learning model in my classroom this year. I'm hopeful that blended learning will be a great fit for my students. Since we are a non-traditional school, students are accustomed to a flexible schedule. With blended learning, we can take learning to the next level by creating an environment that promotes engagement and empowers students to take ownership of their learning. The Individual Rotation model allows students to rotate among learning modalities (i.e., online activities, small group projects, individual tutoring) according to a personalized schedule. By taking this student-centered approach, students can learn, apply, and practice essential skills in a way that is relevant to them. I'm eager to see students engage in learning like they never have before!

Literature Review
In preparing my proposal, I read a great deal of research on blended learning, including books, articles, and reports on the subject. Although more research needs to be done on the impact of blended learning in the K-12 classroom, there is a great deal of positive research on personalized learning, which is at the heart of blended learning. I focused my review on the potential impact blended learning can have on learning at-risk students.
